Patrick Suhrbier
joined St. James Immigrant Assistance legal services office in the
spring of 2015. He brings years of social service experience with
immigrant communities along the Texas/Mexico border, in addition to
interning with the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, where he gained a
broad training in immigration legal assistance and advocacy work before
becoming a Department of Justice Accredited Representative.
Patrick holds a BA in Political Science and Peace and Conflict Studies
from the University of Colorado, and a certificate in Non-Profit
Management from the University of Washington. He also lived and studied
for four years in a small monastery in Nova Scotia, where he completed
training that led to his professional certification as a
hospital/hospice chaplain.
At St. James, Patrick brings together the skills from his chaplain
training with his experience and passion for immigrant rights.
