Anisa Ralls became the Director of the Mental Health and Wellness Ministry at St James Cathedral in 2023.  She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and graduated from Seattle University with a Master’s degree in Counseling in 2004 and has a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Oklahoma State University.  She has worked as a mental health therapist at Catholic Community Services and in community mental health.  Anisa also has experience with mental health advocacy, support, and education through a local nonprofit organization for families and people experiencing mental health disorders.  Anisa worked as an Emergency Department Social Worker for many years and has experience working with people in crisis situations.  Anisa has been a member of the Mental Health Committee with the Seattle Archdiocese since 2015 and helped form a mental health ministry at her own parish. 

Anisa and her husband have 2 children and are members at St. Joseph’s Parish in Seattle.  Anisa organizes and leads the mental health and wellness activities and programs for the cathedral and offers support and connection to resources for families and people with mental health disorders.  In her spare time, she enjoys music, reading, playing piano, and spending time with her family and friends.
