2024 Choir Camp Lift Every Voice August 12–August 16 (9:00am-4:00pm) and August 18 (9:00am-11:15am): WHAT: Choir Camp 2024 THEME: "Lift Every Voice" WHEN: August 12-16, 9am-4pm daily; and Sunday, August 18, 9am call for 10am Mass with music led by Choir Camp Choristers. WHERE: St. James Cathedral, Cathedral Place, 803 Terry Avenue ELIGIBILITY: all girls and boys with unchanged voices entering grades 1-8 this fall. Open to both members and non-members of St. James Cathedral. TUITION: $150 per child Full and Partial Scholarships are available – please enquire with the Youth Music Office to apply. No student is turned away based on financial need. For five days, campers sing, laugh, and play in a beautiful and welcoming environment. Choristers will learn a variety of music spanning the Church's history, from ancient to modern. Campers share their music through a mid-week mini-concert at a nearby retirement community and a Friday Cathedral concert; and on Sunday, they provide the music for the 10:00am Mass. Each day begins with the sung Morning Praise service and continues with rehearsal, fun activities on the Cathedral grounds, and lessons on topics in the life of the Church. Over the course of the week, senior choristers have an opportunity to take over and get a taste of being a leader of the liturgy. Ready to register? Register now using this form.
