Do you have a child who loves to sing or wants to learn? Choral singing is not just about music
it builds social skills, community, and cooperation in addition to making music to the glory of God. Saint James is proud to be home to a renowned youth music program.
Jubilate!, the Cathedral's ensemble for young women of high school
age, sings regularly at the noon Mass on the third Sunday of the month as well as various special liturgies and occasional Vespers. Jubilate! rehearses on
Thursdays

The Schola Cantorum choir, for girls and boys grades 4–8, provides the music
at the noon "First Sunday Youth Celebrations," the 5:30 Christmas Eve Vigil, and various archepiscopal liturgies. Schola Cantorum rehearses on Thursdays
from 4:30-6:00pm.
New choristers are requested to complete a short interview to assess musical aptitude to schedule an interview, please call the
Youth Music Office at 206-382-4876 or send an email to youthmusic@stjames-cathedral.org,

and financial aid scholarships are available for all families with need. Singers are not required to be Catholic or members of the
parish, but they should be prepared to sing at all scheduled liturgies.
