Visiting Choirs St. James Visiting Choirs are vocal ensembles invited to sing informally in the Cathedral or present a thirty-minute concert of sacred music on a weekday (weekend times are not available). Visiting Choirs can be church, school, college, and community choral groups. While use of the organs are not permitted, there is a Steinway grand piano that may be used by Visiting Choirs. Within easy walking distance of the Cathedral are a large number of retired residents who are invited to weekday performances. Ensembles wishing to be scheduled as a visiting choir must fill out this Application Form. All music must be sacred and pre-approved. Please provide us with your application at least 4 weeks before you wish to visit – for the best chance of getting your preferred date and time, we recommend 3 months or more lead time due to our busy liturgical schedule.
