Good Friday Tre Ore St. James Cathedral observes the traditional Good Friday devotion of Tre Ore ("Three Hours") in which we remember the last words of Christ proclaimed from the cross. These brief exclamations from Jesus alternate with movements from Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's Stabat Mater and and meditations by Father Tom Lucas, S.J. on the Seven Last Words of Christ. Joseph Adam directs the women of the Cathedral Cantorei and the Cathedral Chamber Orchestra. This liturgy is open to all—no tickets required. A freewill offering will be taken up during the service.
