Byrd Ensemble – Monuments of the Renaissance

Byrd Ensemble's 15-year anniversary season opens with a program featuring Renaissance music for large vocal forces, including Thomas Tallis's 40-part Spem in alium and Robert Carver's 19-part O bone Jesu. Accompanying these masterpieces are some of their favorite motets from all over Europe, featuring music by Giovanni Gabrieli, William Byrd, and Alonso Lobo.
