Adrienne D. Cox, concert organist
2025 Summer Organ Concerts

During the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the dedication of the Rosales organ at St. James Cathedral, Seattle, we feature organ recitalists for our summer concert series and throughout the 2025-2026 concert season.

Adrienne D. Cox, trained as a pianist for much of her formative years, has been playing the organ since college. She earned the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in organ performance and pedagogy from The University of Iowa and the Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory of Music. Additionally she studied organ performance at the Akademie fuer Alte Musik in Germany from 1995 to 1996.

She teaches applied organ and music history courses at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Before joining the UTC Music Department, she was adjunct faculty at the University of South Carolina, Beaufort, and Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tennessee. She is Director of Music and Organist at Christ Church Episcopal, an inclusive community adjacent to the campus of UTC.
