Readings and Carols features all of our Youth Music ensembles singing songs of Advent anticipation and Christmas joy:

Youth readers offer traditional readings from Holy Scripture heralding Christ's birth, and congregational carols are sung in the soft glow of candlelight. No tickets or reservations are required for this liturgy – all are welcome! A freewill offering to benefit the Youth Music Program will be collected.

The Cathedral will not close at the usual 6pm weekday time, and will remain open before the liturgy.

Accessible entrances at Marion St. & Terry Ave. (northeast corner of Cathedral) and Columbia Ave.-Courtyard (south side of Cathedral).

Parking Information
- The Cabrini Tower Garage on Marion Street will be open for free Cathedral parking for this liturgy.
To receive free parking, you must take a ticket from the machine when you enter the garage, and write "Cathedral" on it before you hand it to the attendant upon exiting the garage. Having your ticket ready before you exit will speed the process for everyone.


- Limited free parking (~65 spaces) is available in the O'Dea High School parking lot, entrances on Marion and Columbia Streets between Terry and Boren Avenues.

- Street parking is free after 8:00pm.

- Accessible parking is available on the west side of Terry Avenue, between Marion and Columbia.

Public Transportation
St. James Cathedral is within a few blocks of a number of bus lines and the First Hill Streetcar. The #60 bus stops directly in front on 9th Ave. To plan your trip, visit tripplanner.kingcounty.gov (or 206-553-3000), or maps.google.com and search for Terry Ave & Marion St, Seattle.
