We are recruiting now (Fall 2023) for new singers in Women's Schola! The Women of St. James Schola is an ensemble dedicated to unison and part singing. This choir sings for the Sunday 5:30pm Mass each week. The choir's repertoire includes ancient chant, medieval and Renaissance works, and 2- and 3-part works from the classical and modern repertoire for women's voices. Auditions are held throughout the year upon request (a basic knowledge of reading music is a prerequisite to joining the choir). Soprano, mezzo-soprano, and alto singers are welcome! Please provide information about what voice part you sing and if you have any previous experience singing in a choir. From September–June, Women's Schola rehearses on Sunday afternoons at 4:00pm and provides music for the Sunday 5:30pm Mass.
