St. James Cathedral, May 22, 1965. The newly ordained
priests gather on the steps of the chapel with Archbishop Connolly.
Our own Father David Brant was among them. (Can you find him?)
40 years later. Father Brant, in residence at St. James
Cathedral since 2000, offers the Noon Mass on June 19, 2005, as a
special Mass of thanksgiving for forty years of ministry in the
Archdiocese of Seattle.
The cakes at the reception following the Mass reflect one of Father
Brant's hobbies: trains.
At the reception, Father Brant shares photos and memorabilia of his
ordination day.
The ordination class of 1965 was the largest in the history of the
Archdiocese of Seattle. Congratulations also to Fathers Hayatsu,
Sarkies, O'Brien, McDermott, Angelovic, Bowman, ordained the same
day.
Congratulations, Father Brant!
