Thursday, November 24, 2011. We gathered on Thanksgiving
morning for a beautiful Mass, during which all were invited forward at offertory
time to bring their gifts of food items for the poor.
Sunday, November 20, 2011. We were privileged to welcome
Archbishop Sartain, who celebrated the 10:00am Mass on the Solemnity of Christ
the King.
Wednesday, November 16, 2011. Our annual Mass for the Deceased
Homeless concludes with the tolling of the Cathedral's bell, fifty-four times in
memory of the 54 men and women who died on the streets of our city in the past
year.
Sunday, November 13, 2011. We celebrated the baptism of eight
young children at the 5:30pm Mass.
Sunday, October 23, 2011. Nine beautiful children were
baptized at the Noon Mass.
Monday, October 17, 2011. We celebrated the Funeral Mass of
Governor Al Rosellini. Gary Locke, US Ambassador to China, offered a eulogy.

Friday, May 27, 2011. Seattle Auxiliary Bishop Joe Tyson,
recently appointed Bishop of Yakima, celebrated a farewell Mass in the
Cathedral.
Thursday, May 26, 2011. We were privileged to celebrate the
Holy Names Academy Baccalaureate Mass in the Cathedral.
Sunday, May 22, 2011. Twenty-five Cathedral children
celebrated their First Holy Communion today.

Monday, May 16, 2011. Members of our new Mental Health
Ministry, joined by members of the Order of Malta, who helped to fund this new
endeavor, received a special blessing at Mass.
Sunday, May 15, 2011. Our annual Emblem Sunday celebration
recognizes scouts from around the region who have completed the requirements for
religious badges.
Sunday, May 1, 2011. At the 5:30pm Mass, Archbishop Sartain
celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation with 24 young people and adults.
Sunday, May 1, 2011. At the Noon Mass, we celebrated the
Beatification of John Paul II. Archbishop Sartain presided at the Mass, which
featured the Polish choir Vivat Musika.
Sunday, May 1, 2011. At the 10:00am Mass, Father Ryan baptized
twelve beautiful infants.
Saturday, April 23, 2011. At the great Easter Vigil on the
Holy Night of Easter, twenty were baptized.

Everyone, young and old, receives the blessed ashes with which we mark the
beginning of the holy journey of Lent.
Sunday, March 6, 2011. At the First Sunday Youth Celebration
at the Noon Mass, we said "farewell" to the Alleluia. The children of the
parish gathered around the ambo for the Alleluia and the Gospel.
Sunday, March 6, 2011. At the ten o'clock Mass, four
candidates were received into the Full Communion of the Catholic Church,
celebrating their Profession of Faith, Confirmation, and First Communion.
Sunday, February 27, 2011. We celebrated the Rite of
Acceptance and Welcoming for eight young people in our parish.
Saturday, February 26, 2011. We gathered with Archbishop
Sartain to celebrate those who have completed their coursework in the
Archdiocese's Liturgical Ministry Institute (LMI).
Sunday, February 6, 2011. At our First Sunday Youth
Celebration, children gather around the font for a special candle-lighting at
the beginning of Mass, in honor of the feast of the Presentation of the Lord
which we celebrated this past Wednesday.
Wednesday, February 2, 2011. Vietnamese Catholics from around
the Archdiocese gather in the Cathedral for a solemn celebration of the
Eucharist on the eve of the Lunar New Year.
