Saturday, November 20, 2010. At our annual Liturgy Day,
EMs, Ushers, Readers, and Altar Servers gather to be renewed in their
ministries. At the final blessing, we honor Marianne Cote who is stepping
down as coordinator of Cathedral readers after 27 years! Marianne will
continue to coordinate our youth readers while Corinna Laughlin, Director of
Liturgy, has taken over coordinating adult readers.
Friday, November 19, 2010. Archbishop Brunett gathers
with more than 400 priests, deacons, religious, and lay faithful from across
Western Washington to celebrate a farewell Mass on the eve of his retirement.

Wednesday, March 24, 2010. On the 30th
anniversary of his death, we celebrated the life and witness of
Archbishop Oscar Romero. On March 23, 1980, the day before his
death, Romero said: "Easter is a shout of victory! No one can
extinguish that life that Christ resurrected. Not even death and
hatred against him and his Church will be able to overcome it. He is
the victor! Just as he will flourish in an Easter of unending
resurrection, so it is necessary also to accompany him in Lent, in a
Holy Week that is cross, sacrifice, martyrdom… Happy are those who
do not become offended by his cross!"

near, we celebrated the third and last of the "Scrutiny" rites with
our Elect.
Sunday, March 14, 2010. We celebrated the
second of the three "Scrutiny" rites at the 10:00am Mass this
Sunday.
Thursday, February 18, 2010. Our Catechumens
participated in the Rite of Election, during which they were
presented to Archbishop Brunett and formally enrolled their names in
the Book of the Elect.
Wednesday, February 17, 2010. We observed Ash
Wednesday, the beginning of Lent.
Sunday, February 7, 2010. At our First Sunday
Youth Celebration, the children of the parish processed in with
lighted candles. The candles were blessed on the Feast of the
Presentation of the Lord on February 2.
Sunday, February 7, 2010. At the 10:00
o'clock Mass, a group of adults baptized in other Christian
denominations were received into the Full Communion of the Catholic
Church.
Sunday, January 17, 2010. We celebrate the
Santo Nino--the Holy Child Jesus.
