CATHEDRAL HOME

My name is Joseph. Mary is my wife. God chose me to be the foster-father of his only Son. I took good care of Jesus as he was growing up. I was a carpenter by trade, and I taught Jesus how to build things and fix things. Today I am the patron saint of all who work. In art, I am usually holding a lily, which represents the purity of my heart, and a square, a tool used by us carpenters.

Saint Joseph, pray for us!
Help us to be good workers,
putting our hearts and minds into everything we do.
