My name is Anthony. I lived at the beginning of the 13th century. I was a Franciscan priest, and I became quite famous for my preaching. I loved to talk to people about God. When I was preaching by the side of a lake near Padua, Italy, it is said that the fishes poked their heads out of the water to hear me! In art, I am usually shown with the baby Jesus, because one day he appeared to me, and I got to hold him in my arms. Today, I am known throughout the world.
