Dear Friends,

This is the time of year when ordinarily we would be inviting your participation in St. James Cathedral’s 24th annual Hunthausen Charity Golf Tournament. But this year, for reasons we know you will understand, the event which was scheduled to take place on Monday, August 24 at the Glendale Country Club in Bellevue, will, sadly, not be able to happen.

So much has changed in our world these last few months. Two things, however, have not changed: the presence of the poorest and the neediest on the streets of our city, and our commitment to reach out to them and lift them up.

In the midst of the pandemic, the Cathedral Kitchen and Sunday Breakfast have found creative and safe ways to continue to feed those most in need. And even though we cannot have our tournament this year, we are asking you to consider making a donation to provide direct support for the Cathedral Kitchen.  Your support will truly make an impact on a lot of lives!  Look at it this way--

Keep the Cathedral Kitchen open a day ................. $665
Keep the Cathedral Kitchen open a week ............. $3,325
Feed one person for a year............................. $1,000
Feed five people for a year............................. $5,000

Would you consider making a special donation this year? A brochure which provides more information can be found here.

Last year’s event raised an extraordinary $161,000 for our outreach ministries. We are confident that with your help we can match that number, even in this year which is unlike any other!  On behalf of the thousands of needy people who are helped through the outreach programs at St. James Cathedral, thank you for your support. We look forward to seeing you at Glendale on August 23, 2021!

Sincerely yours,

Very Reverend Michael G. Ryan
