STATION 5.  Simon of Cyrene helps Jesus carry his cross

Jesus is getting weaker and weaker.
So the soldiers pull a man from the crowd
to help him carry his cross.
The man's name is Simon.
He is a stranger from Cyrene.
He carries the cross for Jesus.

Dear Jesus,
make us bold like Simon of Cyrene.
Make us people who don't just stand by and watch
but who help those in trouble whenever we can.
Amen.
