The Easter Vigil is the high point of the entire liturgical year. It is a privileged time to keep watch together in the light of the risen Christ, and to witness a tremendous outpouring of grace in the celebration of the sacraments of initiation with our Elect. "Let us by our prayers come to the aid of these our brothers and sisters in their blessed hope... as they approach the font of rebirth." (Roman Missal)

"May all who have been buried with Christ by Baptism into death rise again to life with him." (Missal)

"May we share in the gladness of our brothers and sisters who at Easter have received their Baptism" (Missal).

The entrance of the newly-baptized after their baptism is a moment of pure joy. Their white robes speak of their new life in Christ.

The newly-baptized are confirmed with the sacred Chrism. This sacrament is the seal placed on baptism.

"Be sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit."

"Peace be with you."

Congratulations to our neophytes! May the grace of this holy night live in your hearts always, and may you find in the Church a community that helps you to grow in knowledge and love of God and service of God's holy people.
