Holy Week began with a windy Palm Sunday. The rain (mostly!) held off for the solemn procession of palms at the 10:00am Mass.


The Palm Sunday procession begins with the Blessing of Palms in the O'Dea Gym.










Father Ryan proclaims the Gospel of the Lord's entry into Jerusalem.
"The whole city was shaken and asked, 'Who is this?' And the crowds replied,
'This is Jesus the prophet, from Nazareth in Galilee'" (Matthew 21).
 

"Hosanna to the Son of David, Hosanna in the highest!"


The Elect join the entire assembly in the procession of palms.






"Like the crowds who acclaimed Jesus in Jerusalem, let us go forth in peace."




At the Noon Mass, the children and young people led the procession. "The children of the Hebrews, carrying branches, went out to meet the Lord!" (Roman Missal)
