Sunday, June 3, 2018, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of
Christ. We had a beautiful morning for our traditional procession with
the Blessed Sacrament following the 10:00am Mass. The young women of
Jubilate! lead the way.

"Jesus, here present, our living Saviour, grant us your mercy, show us
your favor!"

Children wave ribbons and scatter flower petals.

At the center of the procession, Father Ryan carries the Blessed
Sacrament, exposed in a monstrance. "The LORD, your God, is in your
midst, a mighty savior, Who will rejoice over you with gladness, and
renew you in his love." (Zephaniah 3:17)

It's always a treat to welcome the Elliott Bay Pipe Band under the
direction of our own Tyrone Heade.

"Eucharist is simple food, like bread, yet it is the only food that
satisfies, for there is no greater love. There we encounter Jesus
really; we share his life and we feel his love. There you can realize
that his death and resurrection are for you." (Pope Francis, June 3,
2018)

"Dear brothers and sisters, let us choose this food of life! Let us make
Mass our priority! Let us rediscover Eucharistic adoration in our
communities! Let us implore the grace to hunger for God, with an
insatiable desire to receive what he has prepared for us." (Pope
Francis, June 3, 2018)
 It
was a special treat to welcome Betty Paxton from Mount Vernon to the
10:00am Mass. Betty was baptized in this font 103 years ago! Welcome
home, Betty! Photo courtesy Alison Warp
