Welcome to St. James Cathedral!  Each Christmas, we welcome thousands of visitors to the Cathedral.

Jubilate! Young Women's Ensemble join the procession at the Vigil Mass of Christmas on Christmas Eve.

Children and families join the procession as well!

Illuminated parols (star-shaped lanterns, a Filipino tradition) descend from the oculus
as we sing the Gloria, which takes on special meaning at Christmas: "Glory to God in the highest!"

During the reading of the Gospel, children bring forward the manger scene figures for the blessing.

The Word is made flesh, and makes his dwelling among us.

"Joy to the world!"

It is always a joy to have Archbishop Sartain with us!

The last Mass of the day on Christmas evening ends with candlelighting
and the singing of "Silent Night."

"Christ the Savior is born!"
