Happy Epiphany! On Saturday, January 7, parish families gathered
in Cathedral Hall for the annual Christmas party. Children dressed
up and made their own manger scenes!
This baby Jesus was happy to sit in the "manger" and have his picture
taken!
There were lots of Kings to bring gifts to the baby Jesus!
Father Ryan blessed chalk which was distributed to families, along with
a prayer sheet, so they could do the traditional Epiphany Blessing of
their homes.
Carol-singing with expert accompaniment!
After lunch, the pinata!
The children of the Youth Music Program sing a prelude before the Noon
Mass.
The three Kings join the procession.
Children carry stars, recalling the star that led the Magi to the infant
Christ.
Today is the last day to visit the manger scene.
The
Kings join the manger scene at Epiphany!
An Epiphany tradition! After Noon Mass, Father Ryan gives the
children chocolate coins, a reminder of the gift of gold brought by the
Magi to the Christ Child.
Did you spot the bird's nest in one of the
Chapel Christmas trees this year? (The nest is real; the bird is
not!)
