 On
Sunday, July 24, 2016 we celebrate the feast of our patron, St. James
the Greater, with solemn Masses and a fun parish picnic. Here, one of
our youth servers carries in the procession a 16th-century reliquary
bust of James, containing a relic of the apostle.

At the conclusion of the 10:00am and 12 Noon Masses, an 18-foot high
puppet of James the Greater makes an appearance. The puppet is modeled
on those used in Spain during the celebration of James the Greater.

The weather was absolutely perfect!

Hundreds crowd on Terry Avenue for hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream, and
much more!

Face painting. A unicorn on one side...

...a rainbow on the other!

A huge thank you to our great team of volunteers, under the direction of
Larry Brouse, Anna Horton, and Stephen Pace. It was a great team this
year!

The band was terrific! Special thanks to Jeff Davies and The St. James
All Star Blues Band!!

Waiting in line for the pinata...

The Seattle Fire Department made an appearance. Here our new Youth
Minister, Curtis Leighton, models a lieutenant's helmet!

The balloon bow and arrows worked pretty well! :)

Happy Feast Day!
