On Saturday, April 5, St. James was privileged to host the second annual Mass with the Special Needs Community of the Archdiocese of Seattle.  David, Sophia, and Nancy were the altar servers!

The Knights of Columbus provided an honor guard.

The Choir brought together members of the special needs community
and of some of our Cathedral choirs.

Erica Cohen-Moore of the Archdiocese of Seattle helped plan and coordinate the Mass.

A member of the Special Needs Committee of the Archdiocese of Seattle led the Special Olympics pledge:  "Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt."

On behalf of the entire special needs community, Stephanie Soha presented the Archbishop with the gold medal she won in the Special Olympics as part of the US soccer team.

"This is the best present anyone has ever given me in my whole life!"

After Mass, two bishops pause for a photo - Archbishop Sartain
and crosier-bearer David Bishop of L'Arche Seattle.
