Today was the "first annual" St. Patrick's Day Pancake Breakfast benefiting the
Solanus Casey Center, St. James Cathedral's drop-in and referral center. A joint
project with Catholic Community Services, the Solanus Casey Center helps
homeless and low-income men and women with the cost of replacing their
Washington State IDs. Hundreds of parishioners turned out to enjoy pancakes,
sausages, and roast potatoes for a good cause.

A special thanks to the Baile Glas dancers for the gift of Irish Dance!

Dozens of volunteers made this event possible. (Note the "Irish" whipped
cream!)

We were privileged to welcome the Deputy Lord Mayor of our sister city, Galway, Mr Frank Fahy, who joined us for Mass and breakfast.
Special thanks to Mick McHugh for arranging his visit and for donating our
raffle prizes!

There were prizes for the "greenest green" outfits!

She definitely earned first place!

Caitlin Lanigan, along with Patty Bowman, coordinated the volunteers and the
details of this fun event

A shamrock on both cheeks!

Father Ryan thanks John Payne, our wonderful volunteer chef who prepared
pancakes, potatoes, and sausages for 400 people!

Winners of the "greenest green" at the Noon Mass.

And the runners up....!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
