On Epiphany, we recall the journey of the wise men from the East to the infant Christ.

Parols - star-shaped lanterns - remind us of the star that led the wise men to Jesus.

At the Noon Mass, the children of the Youth Music Program lead the procession.  "Nowell, Nowell, Nowell, Nowell!  Born is the King of Israel!"

The children entered with the kings, carrying stars and brightly colored streamers.

Father Ryan incenses the altar.  The wise men brought gifts to Jesus:  gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

The gold coins Father Ryan gives to the children following the Mass are a reminder of the gold brought to Jesus by the wise men.

What gift will you bring to the infant Christ?

Happy Epiphany!
