Each year, Father Ryan blesses images of the Santo Niño,
the Holy Child, on the Sunday following the Baptism of the Lord.
Children carrying roses accompany the image of the Santo Niño
in the entrance procession.
At the conclusion of the Mass, the Cathedral servers lead the procession to the
Hall for the fiesta.
Viva Santo Niño!
A HUGE THANK YOU to all the generous people who gave so much of
their time and resources to provide a traditional Filipino feast for their
fellow parishioners.
Apple swans crown a fountain of apple juice - amazing!
The young servers of the Noon Mass provide entertainment during the fiesta, with
Hawaiian, Tongan, and Filipino dancing.
A traditional Filipino "courtship" dance.
Tinikling, the famous stick dance of the Philippines. The bamboo
sticks (and the dancers' feet!) move faster and faster as the dance goes on.
Desiree and Joseph Bungay show us how it's done.
Even Father Ryan learned
to dance tinikling before the fiesta was over! Photo courtesy Efren & Fely Belleza.
