On this feast which celebrates the dedication of the Lateran Basilica in
Rome,
the Cathedral Choir begins the 10:00am Mass by singing Bruckner's
Locus iste: "How awesome is this shrine!"
The marvelous "Golden Jubilee" banners are the creation of parishioner
Kitty Kavanaugh, inspired by the work of Gustav Klimt.
The banners were carried in procession by representatives of many parish
ministries.
The feast coincided with our annual Sacrificial Giving Sunday. Rex
Wardlaw and Becky Brauer gave the witness talk this year. Click
here to read or listen!
At the end of each of the morning Masses, the servers led the procession
to Cathedral Place Hall for the Ministries Fair.
The Fair is both a celebration of the many ministries of outreach,
liturgy, and education in the parish, and a chance to get involved.
