On July 28-29, we celebrated our patronal feast, the feast of St. James,
Apostle. Here, Father Ryan incenses the image of St. James that hangs over
the north entrance to the Cathedral.

At the conclusion of Mass, St. James "the Greatest" makes his annual appearance.
This 18-foot puppet is operated by five people.
Watch an animation of the procession at the Noon
Mass.

After the 10:00am and Noon Masses, the annual Parish Picnic on Terry Avenue.
For the sixth straight year, the picnic was coordinated by volunteers Anna
Horton and Stephen Pace. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

The fearless ushers grilled up hundreds of hot dogs, hamburgers, and veggie
burgers.

The book sale benefits the Hunthausen Library... you never know what you're
going to find!

The Nguyen family served up popcorn...

and cotton candy!

The Toucans Steel Drum Band make the picnic fun and have fun doing it!

Enjoying the music.

The Young Adults ran the popular Bingo Game this year.

The children of St. Matthew School in Seattle created this enormous mosaic in
honor of our Centennial. It's way bigger than life-size!

You have to hold still if you want to get your face painted.

Modeling the latest face-painting designs!

The piƱata is the grand finale of the picnic each year. It's the gift of
Mike Kaminski and Ruben Deanda.

Thank you to all the volunteers who made this fun event possible. Happy
Feast Day!
