A SPECIAL THANKS TO MIKE PENNEY FOR PHOTOS OF GOOD
FRIDAY

The traditional Tre Ore "Three Hours" service features meditations
on the Seven Last Words.
This year, Father Jan Lambrecht, SJ, of Louvain, Belgium, preached
the Tre Ore.

"During this Good Friday meditation we see our Lord on the cross,
clearly; we see him as the crucified Christ. But it should not
be or remain a cold intellectual contemplation, at a distance and
unmoved. We hope that through seeing him today clearly we may
love him more dearly, in an intimate and sorrowful and grateful
way... Yet we also know that seeing is not enough and feeling love
is not enough. In order to prove the authenticity of our love
there must also be following: follow thee more nearly,
not just once, not once in a while, but day by day."
The complete text of Father Lambrecht's homilies will be
available soon.

After each meditation, we kneel in prayer
