"From heaven high I come to earth; I bring good tidings of great mirth!"
The children of St Gregory and St Cecilia Choirs sing the prelude to the
service while angels, created by parishioner Kitty Kavanaugh, fly
overhead. Emily Pontn,
a member of the Schola Cantorum, conducts the prelude.
Stacey Sunde conducts the Schola Cantorum and orchestra.
Jubilate! Young Women's Ensemble sings Bach's "Now Comes the World's
Salvation."
St Edward's Vocal Ensemble, under the direction of Rob Fannon.
Melchior, Caspar, and Baltasar make an appearance during the singing of
the favorite carol "We Three Kings."
The high point of the service comes with the proclamation of the
beginning of John's Gospel: "And the word was made flesh and dwelt
among us. And we saw his glory."
The singing of "Silent Night" by candlelight is the perfect ending to
the service.
