Thirty-two children made their first communion on May 1, 2005.
Dressed in their traditional finery, they sat together and
prayed together, with their teachers.

As part of the celebration, the children renewed their baptismal
promises and held lit candles to remind them of the candle that
was lit on the day of their baptism.

Parents LOVE to take pictures at times like this!

Jesus, Son of God, thanks and praise to you.
Jesus, Good Shepherd, thanks and praise to you.
Jesus, Lamb of God, thanks and praise to you.
Jesus, Bread of life and love, thanks and praise to you.
Jesus, source of strength and joy, thanks and praise to you.
Thank you, Jesus, for your life in mine.
Help me live your good news of love and peace.
Amen.
Congratulations, first communicants! |
