WELCOME, VISITORS! If you are a visitor to the Cathedral, we want you to know how welcome you are – whether you have come from another part of the country, from across the world, or simply from another parish here in the Archdiocese. For more information about the parish, to register, or to ask a question, visit our Sunday Help Desk at Coffee Hour. A Cathedral staff person will be on hand to assist you. Be sure to stop by the Cathedral Bookstore after Mass for a wide selection of Cathedral souvenirs as well as Catholic books and gifts.

FOR YOUR SAFETY. At each of the weekend Masses a Seattle police officer is present on the Cathedral campus.

ON THE COVER. During the month of November, when we remember all our beloved dead, we acknowledge in a special way the debt of gratitude we owe to those who over the past decades have remembered the Cathedral in their will.

FLOWERS AT THE ALTAR are offered by Bridget Cooley in loving memory of Dick Cooley on his 95th birthday.

YOUTH NIGHT TONIGHT. Join other teens in grades 8-12 for an evening of fun and fellowship as we learn how to integrate faith into our daily lives. We meet this Sunday in the Pastoral Outreach Center from 6:30 to 8:30pm. Questions? Contact Curtis Leighton.

Sacred Steps

CONGRATULATIONS AND GOD’S BLESSINGS to the following children, baptized in the Cathedral last Sunday: Mary Mirasol Renee Arcuino-Adams, Christian Antony Johannes Dellinger, and Maverick Jacinto Madlangbayan. We welcome with joy these newest members of the family of faith.

THE ST. JAMES ADVENT BAZAAR will be on Sunday, December 2 in Cathedral Hall after all the morning Masses. Favorite St. James items will be featured as well as the work of Cathedral artists and friends. Join us for a wonderful opportunity to do some Christmas shopping while benefiting a good cause!

THE ST. JAMES WINTER SHELTER asks your help for the following needs: men’s razors; large cans of men’s spray deodorant; toothbrushes. Donations can be dropped off at Coffee Hour, they can be ordered and delivered to the Parish Office.

ST VINCENT DE PAUL THANKS YOU. We visited a young man whose hands trembled constantly due to alcohol addiction. He had just lost his manufacturing job because the trembling made it impossible for him to meet the quota of items his employer required him to make. Already in a daily addiction support group, he wanted badly to enter a medical detox program recommended by his counselor. Good news is he had family and friends to help him with some of his financial needs and an affectionate little dog for emotional support. But he did not have quite enough to pay his rent to keep his apartment while in detox. With your support, we gladly helped, confident he was highly motivated and ready to turn his life around – thank you! Information, Bob Clifford, 206-718 -4158.

PARISH REMEMBRANCE: Throughout the year, because we are the Cathedral Church, we remember in prayer at Mass and Vespers each of the parishes and missions of the Archdiocese of Seattle on a Sunday near their feast day. This week we pray for the parishes of Christ the King in Seattle, St. Andrew in Sumner, St. Francis Xavier in Toledo, and St. Barbara in Black Diamond.
