WELCOME SUMMER VISITORS! St. James Cathedral is proud to welcome visitors from near and far throughout the summer months. Each week a drawing for a Cathedral gift will be made from among all the visitor envelopes used. Please write your address on the visitor envelope provided in the pew and drop it with your offering into the collection basket. Thank you for adding to the power of our prayer by your presence in our midst today. Last Sunday, we had visitors from Haltom City, TX; Burnaby City, BC; and Jonesboro, AR. The winner of our drawing was from Germantown, TN.

WHAT SUSTAINS US? Come by the Cathedral Chapel this month to view a traveling art exhibit from the Grunewald Guild, as artists explore the theme of sustenance. Where do we find nourishment for our bodies, our spirits, our communities, and our land? The show will hang in the chapel August 1-28.

YOUTH MISSION PRAYER BOOKS AND PRAYER SITE. Each member of the Cathedral parish is invited to join in a “virtual mission,” accompanying our youth ministry with prayer throughout their journey to Nicaragua (August 6-14). Pick up a prayer booklet near the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe in the south aisle, or pray by visiting the Mission Trip website.

IMMIGRANT ASSISTANCE VOLUNTEER INFORMATION SESSION. Learn how you can serve in this ministry at our upcoming Volunteer Information Session on Friday, August 21, from 2:00pm-3:30pm (Pastoral Outreach Center, Mother Cabrini Room; courtyard entrance on the SE corner of 9th & Columbia).
