WELCOME! If you are a visitor to the Cathedral, we want you to know how welcome you are — whether you have come from another part of the country, from across the world, or simply from another parish here in the Archdiocese. Thanks, in part, to the generosity of visitors like you, we are able to celebrate the Church’s liturgy here in a fitting and beautiful way. We are also able to offer a wide range of services to needy people living in the central district of our city. FLOWERS AT THE ALTAR are the gift of the Corrigan family in loving memory of Mairead Corrigan on the first anniversary of her death. NORTHWEST CATHOLIC COLLECTION. Northwest Catholic is a magazine mailed 10 times a year to all registered parishioners in the Archdiocese of Seattle. It is an important initiative to evangelize and catechize. Your offering helps make Northwest Catholic available for free to more than 120,000 household in Western Washington. Thank you for your generosity. TRANSITIONING TO TECH. THE SOCK DRIVE NUMBERS ARE IN! St. James parishioners donated a total of 2,632 pairs of socks during Advent! Socks go to organizations that work to directly empower people experiencing homelessness such as St. Francis House, Urban Rest Stop, St. Martin de Porres Shelter, Lazarus Day Center, and our Cathedral’s own Solanus Casey Center, Cathedral Kitchen, and Foot Care. Thank you for your generous support! THE ESPRESSO MINISTRY is up and running after the 10:00am Mass. This month, all espresso sales benefit our Mental Health Ministry. PARISH REMEMBRANCE: Throughout the year, because we are the Cathedral Church, we remember in prayer at Mass and Vespers each of the parishes and missions of the Archdiocese of Seattle on a Sunday near their feast day. This week we remember in prayer the parishes of St. Paul in Seattle and on the Swinomish Reservation, and the St. Paul Mission in Westport.
