Helen Oesterle joined the Cathedral staff in 1999 as Director of Religious Education.  She writes: 

I am Director of Religious Education at St. James Cathedral.  I have worked in parish ministry in the Archdiocese of Seattle for over 25 years.  I have a Masters of Divinity from Seattle University and am involved in a variety of Archdiocesan programs.  I also teach a wide variety of adult education classes in parishes throughout the Seattle area.  I am a mother of two wonderful young adults, Peter and Becky.  For fun I teach aerobic classes at the YMCA, bike, garden, walk my dogs, and cheer on the Mariners!
