Curtis Leighton was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, and was baptized at St. James Cathedral in 2001. He graduated with a BA in English and Theology from the University of Notre Dame, and later went on to receive an MA in Philosophy from Loyola University Chicago. He has served as a college campus minister at Gonzaga University, a catechist for children and adults in Chicago and Spokane, and most recently as a theology teacher at Bishop Blanchet High School in north Seattle. The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius and Jesuit spirituality have put their mark on Curtis. In 2012, he completed a certification program as a spiritual director and since then he has enjoyed working with others to discern God’s presence and action in their lives. He is a lover of movies and books, and enjoys skiing, hiking and travelling. He also speaks Spanish.
