Meet the Staff:  Jennifer Ibach

Jennifer Ibach joined the St. James staff in 2007 as a Pastoral Assistant for Social Outreach.  In her position, Jennifer works on education, advocacy, and outreach efforts in our community.  She helps to coordinate the AIDS Care Team, meals for Operation Nightwatch, sandwiches for St. Martin de Porres shelter, our two St. Vincent de Paul conferences, the Volunteer Chore Services program, and our Winter Shelter ministry.  In addition to these direct service efforts, Jennifer currently runs the Just Faith educational program and is a member of the newly formed Housing Advocacy Committee.  Along with her passion for social justice, Jennifer enjoys working with teenagers and heads up the Justice Walking education program for high school seniors as well as the Youth Migrant Project summer mission trip.

Jennifer was born and raised in the Seattle area.  She graduated from Boston College with a B.A. in psychology and a minor in Hispanic Studies.  After graduating, she spent a couple of years volunteering abroad in Spain and Chile.  Before coming to St. James, she worked as a Housing Case Manager at Kirkland Interfaith Transitions in Housing and as the Pastoral Assistant for Youth and Young Adults at Holy Family, Kirkland.  She is currently attending Seattle University for a Masters in Pastoral Studies and is a part of the Archdiocese of Seattle’s Christifideles program.  She was also recently married to her wonderful husband, Pete.
