TerryAnn Bowen joined the staff at St. James in September 2006 as Pastoral Assistant for Faith Formation.  She writes:
 
I was born in Seattle, actually 2 blocks from St. James, and was mostly raised in the greater Seattle area with a few years here and there in other states and countries.  My educational endeavors have brought me a Bachelor of Science degree from Washington State University and a Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies from Seattle University.  Currently I am enrolled in the Pastoral Leadership Program at Seattle University and working toward my Doctor of Ministry degree. 
 
At St. James I teach Welcome Back to returning Catholics, Confirmation for adults and teens, Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults Adapted for Older Children, and I am coordinator for the Young Adults group.  In addition along with Helen Oesterle I teach other adult faith formation classes, and am a trained advocate for people seeking marriage annulments.  I have been actively involved in lay ministry since 1993.
