Now you can read the RCIA announcements for the week online at our "News and Notices" page. You can also download the updated RCIA calendar 2008-2009 as well as the "Mystagogia" Calendar for our Neophytes.
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a process of initiation into the Catholic Community of Faith. This is for persons who are seeking baptism in the Catholic Church or full communion with the Catholic tradition through the Profession of Faith, reception of Eucharist and Confirmation. It is a process which enables the study of the Gospels, Catholic teaching, Christian values, and the development and deepening of a life of prayer and action with the support and involvement of the parish community. If you are interested, please call Helen Oesterle at 206/382-4514. Download the 2008-2009 RCIA Calendar here. Click here to read more about RCIA.
We continue to have many new inquirers coming to participate in our Christian Initiation process to learn more about the Catholic Church (RCIA). We need St. James parishioners to be companions with our new inquirers to help welcome them to our community. All training and support will be provided and the time commitment is reasonable--a minimum of 2 sessions a month (Wednesday evenings). The rewards are many, including renewal and update of your faith and “kudos” in heaven. If interested or for more information, please call Helen Oesterle at 206/382-4514.
