wider Catholic response to the needs of the poor and vulnerable
in our world- locally, nationally, and globally.
Catholic Community Services (CCS)
and
Catholic Housing Services (CHS) of Western Washington
CCS and CHS (formerly known as the Archdiocesan
Housing Authority) of Western Washington are leaders, advocates, and providers
serving poor and vulnerable people.
The Archdiocese of Seattle
The Archdiocese of Seattle has two offices that are directly concerned with
outreach and advocacy issues. The
Life, Justice, and Peace Ministry

Missions

Intercommunity Peace and Justice Center (IPJC)
IPJC acts for justice in the Church and in the world. IPJC is sponsored by
18 religious communinties and collaborates with Catholic, ecumenical, interfaith,
and other organizations in carrying out this mission.
Washington State Catholic Conference (WSCC)
WSCC represents the Catholic Bishops from the three diocese of Washington on issues of public policy.
WSCC sponsors the Catholic
Advocacy Network and Catholic Life Network to enable participants to become informed
about legislative issues in light of Catholic teaching and to become engaged in the
political process.
United States Conference
of Catholic Bishops (USCCB)
USCCB provides teachings on a wide array of life and social justice issues.
Catholic Relief Services (CRS)
CRS carries out the commitment of the Bishops of the United States to assist the poor and vulnerable overseas.
