CareTeams
I was a stranger and you invited me in.
I was sick and you looked after me.
I was in prison and you came to visit me.
Matthew 25:35-36
Samaritan CareTeam volunteers offer practical
care, emotional support, and nonjudgmental listening to
people living with HIV/AIDS and other life challenges.
Samaritan CareTeams unite communities of compassionate care and
inclusive spirituality with people living in isolation and
loneliness. The St. James CareTeam currently ministers to
two CarePartners and could use
your help! If you are interested in this ministry, contact
Patrick Barredo (pbarredo@stjames-cathedral.org,
206-382-4515 ).
The beauty of CareTeams is that
your volunteer time is set on your
schedule! Some of our volunteers
spend 3-4 hours per month, some 3-4
hours per week. Support is based
on the collective gifts and abilities
of the volunteers and the needs and
wishes of the CarePartners.
Transportation to the food bank and
appointments, visits, phone calls,
potluck celebrations, sitting with a
CarePartner at the hospital or doctor's
office and small shopping trips are
some of the varied activities the St.
James CareTeam has provided over this
past year.

are isolated and miss meaningful connections due
to the effects of HIV/AIDS and other life challenges.
