AIDS & Multiple Sclerosis Care Teams

The eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.
Psalm 33:18-19

Multifaith Works CareTeam Volunteers offer practical care, emotional support, and nonjudgmental listening to people living with HIV/AIDS and/or recovering from addiction.

Multifaith Works unites communities of compassionate care and inclusive spirituality with people living in isolation and loneliness. One can volunteer to provide one-to-one emotional support to people living with HIV/AIDS or other life-threatening illnesses, work with a Care Team to offer friendship and practical support to individuals and households living with AIDS, and/or volunteer in one of the community houses for people living with HIV/AIDS or Multiple Sclerosis. St. James currently has a Care Team that meets regularly with their Care Partner to provide emotional support and help with daily tasks as a team. To volunteer with this ministry, contact Suzanne Lee at 206-654-4640.

Multifaith Works believes in putting faith into action for the common good. They are dedicated to a grand vision: that people of diverse backgrounds should come together on the basis of shared values in order to assist those in need.
