The Organ Historical Society
The Organ Historical Society returns to St. James for a Gala Concert concluding the society’s national convention in Seattle.
Cathedral Organist, Joseph Adam will featuring the 1907 Hutchings-Votey organ in the West Gallery in the premiere of a new work
by organist and composer Timothy Tikker. The Organ Historical Society awarded its prestigious Historic Organ Citation to the
Hutchings-Votey when the group met in Seattle in 1982.

Schola Cantorum Choir Camp
The Schola Cantorum Choir Camp is designed to develop full and active participation in the liturgy through singing.
Led by the region’s finest Catholic music educators, this week-long camp for young singers
ages 6-14 (treble voices) provides excellent training in liturgical music. Students learn
how to sing, and develop and grow their skills in music fundamentals including rhythm and pitch.
The Choir Camp hours are from 9:00am until 4:00pm. Priority will be given to students who commit to participating in our Youth Music Program in the
08-09 school year.

Three of St. James Cathedral's extraordinary artists present a rare evening of
medieval and early baroque masterpieces in the elegant beauty of the Cathedral
Chapel.
Margriet Tindemans, one of the world's leading authorities and performers of this
repertory has chosen music by St. Hildegard of Bingen, leading women composers of
the 17th century, and a number of other representative composers. The program will
include songs and instrumental arrangements by St. Hildegard of Bingen and medieval
and 17th century Italian settings of the Song of Songs.
