Madre de las Americas 2004

The image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is enshrined in the Cathedral and surrounded by roses.  After the celebration the roses become treasured keepsakes for all who participate.

Young dancers encircle the altar.  With drums, castanets, and dramatic dance, they offer homage to Our Lady.

The drama reenacts Our Lady's appearance to the humble peasant Juan Diego on Tepeyac.
