My name is John. James is my brother, so I feel right at home in this cathedral which is named for him! I was with Jesus until the end; I stood with Mary at the foot of his cross. After Jesus ascended to heaven, Mary came to live in my house. People say I took care of her, but really I think it was she who took care of me! I am usually shown with an eagle, because in the books I wrote (the Gospel of John and the Book of Revelation) my words soar up to heaven, like a powerful bird!
