Saint James the Greater |

My name is James. My brother John and I were fishermen until we became apostles. I remember the first time I saw Jesus. I was working in my boat, mending my fishing nets, and he said, “come after me, and I will make you a fisher of men.” I dropped my nets and followed Jesus. I’ve never looked back! In art, I’m usually shown as a pilgrim, with my staff (walking stick) and my gourd (to carry water in).
Saint James, pray for us! Help us to follow you on the pilgrim way of Jesus, our teacher, our brother, and our friend.
