To volunteer you must be:

at least 18 years old
fluent in English
able to tutor twice a week
available to make a 6-month commitment

ESL Tutor

6-month commitment / twice a week
Provide one-to-one English language instruction and cross-cultural orientation in an on-site tutoring room or at an off-site community location.

Citizenship Instructor

6-month commitment / twice a week
Provide English language instruction based on U.S. History and Civics to help students prepare for the United States citizenship exam.

Internships/Service Learning

We are sometimes able to offer these positions to students whose needs and interests match those of the community we serve.

Advisory Board Member

2-year commitment / hours vary
Meet monthly with Advisory Board to develop and monitor strategic plans, organize and implement fundraising efforts, provide professional consultation, and oversee continuous improvement.

Office Volunteer

6-month commitment/weekly on-site
Tasks include data entry, filing, phone calls. Fluent in a second language is helpful.

Test Administrator

6 months/up to four hours per week
Administer tests as assigned in SE or N Seattle. Sign-in and sign-out testing materials. Score tests and report results.
