PREPARATIONS for the CATHEDRAL FAIR
Please be patient... photos may take a few
moments to download.
Volunteers gathered day after day in the rectory parlor to create
the ribbon canopies. Inch by inch, the masses of ribbon and
netting turned into canopies of color and light! They tied
over 7,000 ribbons.
The courtyard and hall were illuminated for the celebration by
lighting designer Jeff Robbins.
Our Lady, Seat of Wisdom, surrounded by lights.
Inside, the Cathedral was adorned with huge branches of eucalyptus,
the gift of landscape artist Rick Kyper.
Parishioner Debe Meder arranged the altar flowers. The "eye"
of the peacock feather is an ancient symbol of the resurrection.
Jesson Mata put hours into the preparation of the magnificent MUSIC
BOOTH.
Anna Horton and Kina Ling, invaluable members of the Fair Committee,
take a break from preparations to pose with Bishop O'Dea.
Duct tape doesn't stick to everything! The Young Adults
handled every difficulty with panache.
