2-year commitment / Hours per month and week vary Meet monthly with Advisory Board to develop and monitor strategic plans, organize and implement fundraising efforts, provide professional consultation, and oversee continuous improvement.
6 hours per month/flexible Use your professional experience as an ESL Teacher or TESOL student to provide tutors with lesson planning techniques and applications.
Hours: Flexible/Varies Meet with students quarterly to assess their learning level using the CASAS testing material.
4 hours a week Assist staff with volunteer recruitment including posting ads online, attending volunteer fairs and making presentations at community centers and libraries.
2 hours a week Provide administrative support to office staff by answering the phone, doing data entry, stuffing envelopes, responding to emails, making copies.
2-6 hours per week Assist the St. James ESL Program in various research projects.
